For me, how I experience yoga very much depends on the instructor. There's something magical about her. I just seem to flow right along. I think others feel it too. It's her spirit, that's what it is. She takes us on a journey, and at the end, after an amazing physical ride, it's like, you leave your body. Her sensitivity...to pain and suffering is so comforting. Wendy has a remarkable understanding of physiology. Wendy understands how some of us are fighting chronic illness...and sometimes, even depression. It's not just a workout, Wendy’s classes and personal training bring joy. It's a quest for enlightenment--a spiritual pathway that connects us all, connects us to the universe. She is a spiritual light that connects us from a sometimes harsh and brutal world to a spiritual one, filled with loving kindness.

"In December of 2003 I had chronic back pain and was diagnosed with a bulging disk and sciatica nerve. They recommended I begin therapy immediately. I had heard how Yoga can help back pain so I decided to give it a try rather than go through therapy. I have always worked out with weights and cardio exercises. I've even made jokes in the past that if someone doesn't want to work out, they do Yoga.To my surprise, I couldn't believe what a great workout Yoga really is. Not only that, but I no longer have any back pain and feel 20 years younger. I just wish I would have discovered Yoga 20 years ago. I attend 3 to 4 classes a week and practice for about 10 minutes after working out with weights and cardio. Both Yoga and Wendy have help me enjoy life to it's fullest again."

" I have been studying Shorin Ryu karate for five years and martial arts for 10. At 51 I never thought I would get to the point where I would be in any shape to achieve a black belt. I physically could not do some of the demanding moves that my much younger training partners could. That's before I discovered Yoga and Wendy Fit. Wendy, Sarah, and Mei are excellent instructors and with their tutelage and patience, through a little over a year, I am more flexible and in better shape than I have been in at least 20 years. More in shape to point that I just recently successfully obtained my black belt in Shorin Ryu karate! I owe much of my reaching that personal goal to Yoga and Wendy Fit's staff. I can not see myself ever stopping practicing Yoga. Thanks Wendy, Sarah and Mei!"

"I want to thank you very much for the great yoga class. I greatly appreciate that you made the class a challenge for us and offered some new poses for us to learn. My daily life experience is significantly enriched by what you have given me through the yoga experience. There is no doubt in my mind that I could not enjoy the many hours of riding my bicycle, spinning classes, or just long walks without the strength, flexibility, and tranquility that I have obtained from your classes. You have a great way of challenging us to try our best without pressuring anyone to compete with each other. I guess that is what makes it so easy to have a lot of friends in the class."

"As the survivor of a severe car accident from 1983, I have found a renewed motivation from my own Yoga Practice. For the last 23 years I have spent my time trying to regain a reasonably good lifestyle. I've now found that life over the last six years with Wendy's Yoga/Pilates. For many years my balance wasn't good and I had problems focusing. I tried Adult Education, and then some Classes at SPJC, but found that I was often to much of a distraction for the other students. Plus I required more of the Teacher's time, one on one. Now Through my Yoga Practice I've gained Self-esteem, Functional Strength, improved Balance, and deepened my sense of self, as well as having taken my Faith in God to a higher level. Thanks Wendy!!!

"Wendy has worked with my daughter, who has a brain injury, for about a year developing a personal program that has dramatically improved her strength and endurance. We believe Wendy has a special gift for working with special needs individuals because of the significant improvements in my daughter’s challenges."

"I enjoyed watching your show in the evenings. I have been taking yoga and Pilates classes at the YMCA. They don't really have any Pilates classes in the evening for people that work during the day. Do you have any Pilates work out tapes for a good hour work out? I have ordered your power yoga 1 tape, and am going to order your power yoga 2 & 3 after I have attained better posture and flexibility. Thank You."

"I am a 49 year old female. I just wanted to drop a short note to let you know that I am enjoying participating in your televised Yoga classes in the evening. For years I have been an avid weight lifter and exercise enthusiast - taking a few intermittent Yoga classes along the way. Therefore - my flexibility has been decreasing yearly and I become "very stiff" after working out at the gym. Your classes in the evening have provided both an education and challenge for me - and an outlet to relax my mind and body. I hope that Bright house Channel 340 continues to carry your televised classes - thanks - you are doing a great job!!!"

"As a lifetime baseball player, I've seen my share of injuries. Typically, baseball players pull muscles, twist angles and bang up their knees. They also tear rotator cuffs and damage elbow and shoulder joints. I have been virtually injury-free through more than 2,000 baseball games. Yoga has played a large role in that, especially in my later years. I am convinced that all the stretching and mental focus acquired through Yoga kept me healthy in baseball. I am now 53 years old and played ball until I was 50, when I just decided to do other things, like trail biking, swimming and coaching kids. At times, the wear on tear on my body shows up with a sore lower back, stiff shoulders and crackling knees (I was a catcher). Yoga has eliminated my back pain and kept my shoulders and knees working like a young man. My hips carry my stress as well as years of sliding and bending. Yoga gives me the physical and mental release I need to stay limber and strong in the hips."
