ABOUT OUR CLASSES
Core Pilates
Learn the basics and quiclky gain strength and confidence in the Pilates method. We focus on core stability, posture, lengthening and strengthening of muscles. This class utilizes props like small and big pilates balls, the fitness circle and foam rollers. These exercises are adaptable to all fitness levels.

Yoga Basics
This class is a wonderful place to begin. It creates a strong foundation using the Iyengar principles of alignment & approach to modifications for all levels. Whether a beginner, a seasoned practitioner, or working through a physical injury; relax, rejuvenate, and experience yourself in a new way.

Yoga Fusion/Yogalotes
This class integrates the fluid asana practice of Yoga with the strength based core building Pilates exercises allowing us to feel taller, stronger and more flexible. Appropriate for all levels. By combining these two modalities, you'll definitely increase your stamina which aids in weight loss and burning extra calories. The workout is followed by a short, restorative rest.
Hatha Yoga
Practice where the root and essence of various postures are explored through alignment, breath, gentle flowing movements and meditation. Open to all levels, with some previous yoga experience. Classes designated as Active means be prepared to sweat!

Power Yoga
A free-form version of Ashtanga, Power Yoga is a unique combination of dynamic breathing and strong, flowing movement which creates a high-heat, high-energy workout that balances and heals the body, clarifies the mind and reconnects us with our spirit. Recommended for students that have taken yoga before and enjoy using your body for strength training and working up a sweat.

Iyengar Yoga
This style was created by BKS Iyengar, it is a form of yoga known for its use of props, such as belts and blocks, as aids in the asanas (postures). It emphasizes the development of strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration and meditation. Iyengar Yoga is characterized by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment. Iyengar pioneered the use of "props" such as cushions, benches, blocks, straps, and even sand bags, which function as aids allowing beginners to experience asanas more easily and fully than might otherwise be possible without several years of practice. Props also allow tired or ill students to enjoy the benefits of many asanas via fully "supported" methods requiring less muscular effort. There have been many studies performed on the effects of Iyengar yoga on patients with physical problems. In general, Iyengar yoga is useful in physical therapy because it assists in the manipulation of inflexible or injured areas .

Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is the system of Yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India. This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. This is an invigorating and Heat-producing practice that detoxifies the system, realigns the body and energizes the spirit.

Pilates Plus / Pilates (All Levels)
Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement. One of the best things about Pilates is that it works so well for a wide range of people. Athletes and dancers love it, as do seniors, women rebounding from pregnancy, and people who at various stages of physical rehabilitation. This class is designed for all levels utilizing the fit ball, resistant bands, foam roller and Magic Circle. These props provide gentle to moderate resistance in the exercises. They also give the body feedback as to where it is in space and which muscles are being used.

Partner Yoga
Partner yoga is a great way to be introduced to yoga. We utilizes the buddy system to dissolve tension, and establish a natural state of harmony in mind, body and spirit. Restorative Yoga
This class can also be considered as "active relaxation." The body is supported through use of props, which alternately stimulates and relaxes the body. Restorative poses are especially beneficial for those times when you feel weak, fatigued, or stressed from your daily activities.
Ballet Core
A dynamic fusion of ballet, yoga, body sculpting, and cardio dance that will get you long, lean, and the sexy body you've always wanted! It's specifically designed to work your abs and butt. The exercises are so easy-anyone can do them! You'll work your abs, lift your butt, and do fat-melting cardio in every workout! Try it and you'll see a dramatic difference in your body.

Self-Empowerment Yoga & Meditation
This class will start with a brief meditation that has a focus on communicating the Buddhist basics on the nature of the mind then guiding you through the typical reactions the mind has while we meditate. Coming out of this, we then will begin to tone and release blocks, and open and balance the chakras. The remaining time will be spent in a vinyasa flow class, geared towards self-empowerment, the asanas used will be the ones designed for this. I've designed a few different sequences for clients for this purpose, and they rock!

Nutrition Lecture
Marina will assist you in learning nutrition basics. With a discussion of your proper weight and body composition goal, a discussion of your proper calorie range, a discussion of your carbohydrate needs and their sources, an explanation of the five food groups, the ADA Exchange System and the Glycemic Index System, and a discussion of pre and post workout meal strategies. Gain an understanding how to read a food label and an easy to follow grocery list. Build your own unique MEAL PLAN!

Kettlebell Core
A kettlebell is a traditional Russian training tool that has been used since the turn of the century to develop full body conditioning and fitness. A kettlebell looks like a cannon ball with a handle. The shape of the kettlebell allows for unique positioning of the weight directly above your center of mass (unlike a Dumb Bell or Bar Bell which must be held in front of the body) and allows you to keep your hand and wrists in neutral alignment, which enable for greater endurance and longevity in the core lifts so that you can produce a much higher volume of exercise and thus greater conditioning and fitness.Some of the benefits of kettlebell training include:
